Kyathos 1 – Greek ancient pottery


Kyathos has a tall, round, slightly tapering bowl and a single, flat, long, looping handle. It was invented probably in the 2nd half of the 6th Century BC at the workshop of Nikosthenes and was produced mainly for export in the Etruria region in Southern Italy.
